A classic brewing equipment for a consistent, heavy-bodied black coffee.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Coffee
Water
French Press
Grinder
Scale

BREW TIME
4 minutes

Ratio for 1 cup- 1:12 (20gm of coffee to 240gm of water)

STEP 1
Heat the water to 93C. While the water heats, set the grinder to the coarse setting and grind 20gm of coffee.

STEP 2
Pour the ground coffee into the carafe. To start, gently pour 40gm
of water and give it a gentle stir to wet the grounds.

STEP 3
At the 30-second mark, pour the remaining 200gm of water and place
the lid on top.

STEP 4
After 4 minutes, gently press the plunger down and serve the coffee.
Don’t let it sit in the carafe as it will cause the coffee to continue
brewing and over-extract.
