Brew Guide - Aeropress (Inverted Method)
The Aeropress is a versatile, light-weight and durable brewing device for a balanced coffee, with lots of flavour clarity and a round body.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Scale with timer
Ratio for 1 cup- 1:10 (25gm of coffee to 250gm of water)
Heat the water to 80C. Set the grinder to the medium to coarse setting and grind 25gm of coffee.
Pre-wet the filter with hot water. Assemble the inverted Aeropress onto the scale.
Put the ground coffee into the Aeropress and start the timer. Pour 50gm of water within 10 seconds and stir a few times. At the 30-second mark, add 120gm of water, stir and then securely screw the lid.
At the 1-minute mark, flip the Aeropress onto a mug and gently press down for 30 seconds till you hear a hissing sound. Remove the Aeropress and add the remaining 80gm of water to the brew.
